Creative Leaders

Creative Leaders is a new leadership program that equips emerging artists with the confidence and skills to build a career in the creative industries. This free program is for creative thinkers who want to grow as leaders and drive cultural change.

  • Participate in monthly workshops in creative leadership, inclusive practices, advocacy, and leading community engagement programs.
  • Act as consultants and advocates who bring different perspectives, and shape the direction, culture, and vision of Canberra Youth Theatre.
  • Develop skills in mentoring and workshop facilitation, leading to further opportunities across the company.

If you’re passionate about taking the lead, speaking up, and eager to learn more about the transformative power of the arts, Creative Leaders is the platform to make your voice heard.

Creative Leaders is open to young, emerging and early career artists aged 16-25 who want to develop their critical voice, build collaborative networks and explore artistic practice. We encourage theatre makers, actors, writers, directors, as well as artists from other disciplines to get involved.

We encourage submissions from:

– Early Career artists

– Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists

– Culturally and Linguistically Diverse artists

– Artists who identify as LGBTQIA+

– Artists living with disability
