Writers Ensemble is a playwriting program, led by professional playwright Julian Larnach (Literary Associate at Griffin Theatre Company) and guest professional writers joining online from around the country. Writers meet once a month to learn the craft of playwriting and develop their scripts towards a rehearsed reading in November.
- Bring your big idea to the table, and be guided through the process of developing a script, including one-on-one feedback, and clear milestones to drive your progress.
- Be part of a supportive community of fellow-writers.
- Collaborate with actors and directors to present your works-in-progress at Scratch.
- Observe creative developments for our Emerging Playwright Commission.
- Get industry insights from professional playwrights about making a career as a writer.
Writers Ensemble is an introductory program for writers interested in theatre, and performers interested in writing, to discover their creative voice and create new works for performance.
