Miriam Covell Member
Miriam Covell has worked in a variety of administrative and management roles at renowned Australian arts organisations. After completing a Bachelor of Arts (Hons. History) at ANU, her passion for storytelling through art and theatre led her to Sydney to work in philanthropic development at Sydney Theatre Company and Belvoir St Theatre, coordinating fundraising programs and strengthening donor engagement.
Since returning to Canberra, Miriam has been working at the National Library of Australia, delivering reference services and visitor experience in Reader Services and financial management and logistics in Collection Acquisitions.
Throughout her childhood and high school years, Miriam participated in Canberra theatre programs, which provided many opportunities to pursue her interest in performing arts, develop self-confidence and establish long-term friendships. As a Board member, she is excited to contribute her knowledge and experience to Canberra Youth Theatre and its community.
