Creepy Spooky Lurking Nasties

AAAAARRGHHHH! (Have we got your attention?)

Who You Are

Young artists in school Years 1–6 will get their shriek on in this spooky workshop that will make them shiver with delight – or fear – or both?! If your interests include grave-robbing, howling at full moons and ghostly goings-on, come join us for a week of scary games, creepy characters and high-action theatre-making based on classic horror. Young Artists will develop their devising skills through energetic exercises and creative play, as well as perfecting their prowess in that essential actor’s skill: the melodramatic death. Screaming encouraged. Blood not included. Discounts available for the living dead.

What You’ll Learn

  • An introduction to the elements of theatre making.
  • Practice stagecraft and physical and vocal expression.
  • Share your ideas and opinions about the world.
  • Develop your own artistic voice.
  • Collaborate as a group to devise an original piece of theatre.
  • Perform your theatre piece for family and friends at the end of the workshop.
