Introduction to Performing Shakespeare

Step out from behind the classroom desk and explore how professional actors approach Shakespeare’s language in performance. Learn key skills in mining Shakespeare’s text for meaning, clues and character. Exploring a range of characters from Shakespeare’s canon, participants will be guided in clear and powerful techniques to decode the original text, and playful strategies to bring these characters to life. Participants will gain an innovative perspective and fresh approach to these classic works.
